Stir fry pork meat with bamboo shoots in mongolian sauce

I'm experiencing a new dish almost everyday. On 16 March 11, I stir fry pork meat with bamboo shoots in mongolian sauce.

I cut the pork meat into small pieces and before I started cooking, I mixed a bit of corn flour to the meat to soften it. This will make the meat tender. Then I pan fry the meat. Once cooked, I added the bamboo shoots into the pan and stir fry them together. Hoping to remove the strong smell of the bamboo shoots, I added mongolian sauce and stir fry them.
Once it's done, I serve them onto the lettuce and  wow la, all done.
Taste was alright, not bad for the first try...although I could still smell a little bit of the bamboo shoots : )

Good oriental store found! finally...

I have been looking for an oriental store in Melbourne that sells a wide variety of oriental products with reasonable price. I have been to many oriental stores near my house and they are either too expensive or too limited in range. It's just not worth it and just disappointing as compared to Perth's.
Finally, I found a good store that sells a wide range of products with reasonable price. It is called the Hong Kong Supermarket at Clayton. This store is also a butcher store. It is conveniently located with parking in front and behind it - 2 entrances. There are also many fresh fruits, butchers and miscellaneous items shops around it. Prices are reasonable and wide choices to pick from. Great place to shop where you get your groceries and other household items at the same place. How cool is that.

Melbourne's guide

I'm gonna start writing some good guides about getting around in Melbourne. As I am new to here, I do not know where and how to get things which are relatively cheaper and/or better. I thought there may be someone out there who might be like me, who are new to here and do not know where to get them. So I am going to give it a try and start providing some guides as I experienced them or found out. We can all share the info and exchange ideas.........perhaps in the future(??)
It just helps us to save money and do things smarter  : )
